Alice Peck Day Memorial Auxiliary Donates Blanket Warmer for Birthing Center
February 23, 2012—The Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has recently donated a blanket warmer to provide added comfort to patients in the Birthing Center.
A new addition to the Birthing Center is a rolling, cabinet-style blanket warmer, designed to hold multiple blankets at a comfortable temperature for patients. “A warm blanket is a caring touch that provides our new mothers with a comfortable, relaxed feeling, while the warmth can help ease physical pain,” stated Beverley Rankin, RN, BSN, MSA, BC-NE, Vice President of Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer.
The blanket warmer was purchased with funds from the 2012 Annual giving Program, which the Auxiliary has also supported generously. In recognition of their contributions, a small plaque will be placed on the blanket warmer in honor of the group’s generosity and dedication.
