APD Applauds Nurses during National Nurses Week
May 3, 2012—Alice Peck Day Health Systems is joining the American Nurses Association in celebrating Nurses: Advocating, Leading, Caring, as part of National Nurses Week, which is held May 6-12, each year.
“During this weeklong celebration, we honor and applaud every nurse’s dedication to the care of their patients and for being so passionate about their profession,” states Beverley Rankin, RN, MSA, BC-NE, Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer. “Nurses play an enormously vital role in providing quality health care at APD and it is important to recognize them for the work they do, every day, and for caring so very much.”
As part of this year’s celebration, APD will host various events throughout the week to honor the nursing staff, including a banquet to announce the recipient of the APD RN of the Year award.
