APD Auxiliary Receives Spirit of NH Award
January 11, 2013—In appreciation for their dedication and philanthropic activities, the Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital Auxiliary was recognized by Volunteer New Hampshire at the 2012 Spirit of New Hampshire Awards ceremony at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, NH.
This prestigious award honors the Auxilians for their significant time and effort serving as advocates, volunteers and fundraisers for the Lebanon area’s community hospital. “The Auxiliary is very pleased to receive a Volunteer Champion Award for our commitment in support of APD,” said Claudia Gibson, President, APD Auxiliary.
Founded in 1932, the APD Auxiliary supports the mission of the Hospital and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist APD in reaching it health care goals and to provide educational scholarships to employees. In 2012, the Auxiliary made a pledge of $100,000 to the hospital’s capital campaign. The 100 plus members also contribute thousands of hours to the organization as volunteers and in hosting fundraising events like the bi-annual Antique Shows and the Celebration of Lights during the holiday season.
