APD Honors Contributors at Donor Recognition Event
November 18, 2011—Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital thanked contributors at a Donor Recognition Reception on November 14, 2011 at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, Vermont.
With a full house in attendance, the evening celebrated individuals and businesses for their loyal support, involvement and commitment to APD and its mission.
"We are very honored to recognize those who sustain and improve the hospital’s care with their gifts of financial support and time," says Melanie N. Moore, Associate Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Relations. "Though this is a challenging time to be asking people to support charitable causes, our community continues to show their commitment to the very personal and exceptional type of care APD provides.”
This is an annual event, which this year included an update on the Hospital’s renovation project, live jazz played by East Coast Swing and featured a talk by, Lisa Furmanski, MD, APD’s Geriatrician. Dr. Furmanski spoke about geriatrics and community-based care, a new way of taking care of our aging families, friends and neighbors so that they can age well and live independently.
