APD Welcomes Peggy Cooper as the new Volunteer Services Coordinator
September 1, 2011—Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Peggy Cooper as the new Volunteer Services Coordinator in the Department of Philanthropy and Community Relations.
As Volunteer Coordinator, Cooper’s responsibilities include the recruitment, placement and training of new volunteers and the coordination of the Volunteer Program. In addition, she serves as the Hospital’s liaison to APD’s Auxiliary, a group of volunteers who raise funds for the hospital.
“I believe passionately in the difference volunteers can make,” says Cooper. “Volunteering enriches so many people’s lives, and I’m looking forward to working with wonderful people who have something to share.”
Recently, she has worked for Employment Options in Marlborough, Massachusetts, both as a volunteer and in a professional capacity. Previously Cooper had a successful career managing sales and business accounts for companies such as Mac-Gray Corporation of Waltham, Massachusetts and Identification Resources, in Burlington, Massachusetts. She was also the New England Hospital Accounts Manager for AliMed. She is a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy, New York, and holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing.
