Dana Dean named Employee of the Quarter
August 26, 2011—Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital is pleased to recognize Dana Dean, Analyst, Information Services, as the Employee of the Quarter.
Dean’s efforts have been essential in the successful implementation of the first phase of Electronic Medical Records system, which has included registration, scheduling, and billing, at APD’s clinics.
Implementing an EMR is an enormous change for any practice. There were many processes to review, workflow procedures to identify and new skill-sets to develop. “Dana quickly gained the trust and confidence of everyone on the core project team,” states Dr. Sheila Feyrer, Medical Director of Informatics. “Her efforts have been essential to the success of this project and her drive and devotion have been critical in meeting the project goals.”
Right from the start, Dean worked side-by-side with clinics to ensure that every process, every question, and every detail was addressed. “She has kept the users on an even keel when they were frustrated or stressed with the incredible change this implementation imposed on them,” adds Lorraine Nichols, Director, Information Services. “She is one of the best examples of a true team player that I have ever seen.”
