Hand Surgeon Diane C. Riley, MD Joins APD
January 27, 2011 - Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital (APD) is pleased to announce the employment of Diane C. Riley, MD as the new APD Hand & Upper Extremity provider. Dr Riley, an orthopaedic surgeon, who has been affiliated with APD for the past decade, specializes in the hand, wrist and elbow surgeries. Her office is located in Wilder, Vermont.
"When a patient arrives with an injury, it is both rewarding and exciting to come up with a functional solution so that they can return to their day-to day activities," states Dr. Riley. She performs surgeries and emergency room call at APD and sees patients at office visits along with her staff, Kara L. Mace, CPT, ROT and Dawn M. Rafus, LNA, ROT. "We thought long and hard about switching to APD and one of the things that became blatantly obvious is APDís ethic of quality, personal care that matches the philosophy of the care we provide in our practice," explains Dr. Riley. She will maintain her clinic and perform surgeries in Windsor, Vermont.
Dr. Riley is a member of American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), where she serves on the public education committee, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). She received her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH and was a Hand Fellow at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.
