Melissa Underhill named Nursing Director
June 7, 2012—Melissa Underhill, RN, BSN was recently named Nursing Director for the Birthing Center and Emergency Department at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital.
Underhill joined APD as a staff Registered Nurse (RN) in 2001 and has been the day Clinical Leader in the Birthing Center since last fall.
“Melissa is a team-oriented, collaborative, visible leader who brings a breadth of experience and passion for caring for our patients,” states Beverley Rankin, RN, BSN, MSA, BC-NE, Vice President of Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer. “She leads by example and is well-respected by staff.”
Underhill holds both a Registered Nursing degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Colby Sawyer College in New London, NH. She earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree from Vermont Technical College in Randolph, VT.
