Neurosurgeon Harold Pikus Comes to APD

Lebanon, NH – Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital announced today that Harold Pikus, MD from Upper Valley Neurology Neurosurgery will join the staff at the hospital in June, 2014. Dr. Pikus will be performing neurological surgery including spinal, neck and low back surgery as well as peripheral nerve procedures.  

“We are excited about Dr. Pikus joining our staff and working more closely with the superior service that UVNN has to offer,” commented CEO and President Sue Mooney, MD MS.  “The UVNN group is dedicated to providing direct patient access to its physicians, which is a priority for us here at APDMH.”

He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from McGill University in Canada and earned his medical degree from the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Pikus completed his surgical internship and his neurosurgical residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He then went on to complete his fellowship in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida. Prior to joining UVNN, Dr. Pikus was the Chief of Neurosurgery and the Medical Director of Radiosurgery at Doctors Hospital in Florida.
