Recognizing Achievers: Stacy Brown, RN Named Employee of the Quarter

March 11, 2011 - Stacy Brown, a registered nurse at the Robert A. Mesropian Center for Community Care (RAMCC), a department of Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, has been named the Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2011.

A graduate of NH Community Technical College in Claremont, NH, Brown started her nursing career in 2004 and joined APD in July 2005. She is being recognized for balancing the management of patients in difficult circumstances with her willingness to take on extra assignments that assist with positive patient-centered outcomes. When she approaches her patients, she tries to put herself in their shoes.

"Stacy came here as a relatively new nurse, and I have watched her develop into a mature, highly skilled, and valuable team member who shows equanimity and composure, great judgment, and compassion towards her patients and her co-workers," states Margot Stephens, MD. The thoughtfulness and compassion she shows to RAMCCC patients is commonly expressed by patients as well.
