Upper Valley Students Explore their Career Interests at APD
April 5, 2012—On Tuesday, April 3, Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital hosted a group of middle school students from Lebanon Junior High School as part of the Upper Valley Business and Education Partnership’s (UVBEP) Job Shadow Day.
The Job Shadowing experience allowed the eighth grade students to observe the day-to-day activities of the hospital staff and provided an opportunity to see how skills taught in the classroom are applied beyond school walls. Students also gained insight on careers they might pursue in the future.
At APD, the students learned about health careers and spent their day in areas of the hospital including: Radiology, Surgical Services and Rehabilitation Services.
