Community Health

We consider caring for our community a special responsibility that we are honored to fulfill. In addition to initiatives to deliver affordable care to our uninsured and underinsured patients, our Department of Community Health reaches out to area residents of all ages through a wide variety of programs and services.  "Upper Valley Smiles," APD's in-school dental program, provides oral health education and screening to elementary school students in the Lebanon and Mascoma Valley school districts. Other initiatives include community flu clinics, assisting families with Medicaid applications, bi-weekly blood pressure checks offered by APD nurses to residents of the Towers, and more. APD clinicians also provide learning opportunities for medical and nursing students and Upper Valley school nurses.
