Our philosophy is to provide the best in care to our patients and their families in a gentle, caring fashion that is genuine, heartfelt, and state of the art. We are a small facility with two medical/surgical units for a total of 19 beds. Med/Surg East has five private and two semi-private rooms. Med/Surg West has ten private rooms. We pride ourselves on the personal care for which APD has a long reputation.
Our Health Care Team
Our staff is comprised of skilled and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) who are loyal to APD. Collectively, we have thousands of hours of experience. Our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) take a great deal of pride in their work. They are personal attendants to our patients and bring smiles to many faces.
We work collaboratively with Rehabilitation Services, Social Services, Case Management, Dietary, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, the Laboratory, and our medical staff to create the best possible plan of care for our patients.
Services in Detail
We have a large population of surgical providers who specialize in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, gynecological procedures, general surgery, urology, and podiatry. Our medical service manages a wide variety of chronic and acute medical conditions.
We have recently implemented a Palliative Care program and have hired an MD specialist in this field, and we are very excited about the expanded capacity that this service allows for our patients. We have also recently implemented a continuous monitoring system that allows us to expand our care and better serve the community.
We have a very successful Hospitalist program that provides ongoing patient assessment and treatment in a timely manner.
