Our Hospitalists
Our hospitalists are board-certified internal medicine physicians who specialize in giving all of our hospitalized patients the undivided attention they deserve.
Medical Staff
Based in Alice Peck Day’s Medical/Surgical Unit, hospitalists consult in the Operating Room and with Emergency Services. Since they are at the hospital 24/7, hospitalists are more accessible to nurses and patients and can provide more flexible meeting time with patients’ families.
Our hospitalists perform the following services:
- Care for patients with medical problems such as pneumonia, heart disease, and diabetes
- Partner with surgeons to provide optimal care for patients undergoing surgery
- Collaborate with patients’ primary care physicians
- Work with patients and families to make informed decisions about treatment options
