APD Receives 5-Star and Top Performer Awards for “Excellence in Healthcare”


APD has received three “Excellence in Healthcare” awards from a national health care research organization. The awards included recognition for the following:

  • Top Performer Award for Inpatient Services for the Donald Faulkner Dickey Medical-Surgical Wing;
  • 5-Star Award for Inpatient Services, HCAHPS, and Care Transition; and
  • 5-Star Award for Inpatient Services, Overall Quality of Care for the Birthing Center.

These were given by national health care research leader Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC). APD was honored with the awards during the 2018 Excellence in Healthcare Conference in Charleston, South Carolina, on May 22.

The Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize organizations who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences, health care employee engagement and/or physician alignment and engagement based on surveys completed by their patients.

“It is an honor to recognize APD with these Excellence in Healthcare Awards for their deserving work,” said Joe M.
