Justin Harris, RN, BSN, joins APD as Nurse Manager of Emergency Department


Justin Harris, RN, BSN has joined APD as Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department.

In this role, he has responsibility for the day-to-day administrative and clinical operations of the Emergency Department and the Emergency Responsiveness Program. Harris also supervises the work of the Emergency Department’s nursing staff including registered nurses, paramedics, and health unit coordinators.

“Our emergency department provides crucial access to care all day and all night, every day of the year,” said APD’s Chief Nursing Officer and Harris’ supervisor, Beverley Rankin, RN, BSN, MSA, BC-NE. “Justin’s addition to this critical resource for the community, and his leadership for our team has already been positive.” She added, “I expect this positive impact to continue and look forward to supporting Justin in his new role.”

Prior to APD, Harris spent over a year at Dartmouth-Hitchock’s ImagineCare as Lead Clinical Care Specialist and three years as RN Unit Supervisor at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. He is also the co-creator of Nursebuzz, an online nursing resource and community.

Harris received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University and joined APD in April of 2017.
