Shawn Richardson joins APD as Manager of Nutrition Services


Shawn Richardson has joined APD as Manager of Nutrition Services effective December 10th, 2018. In this role, Richardson is responsible for food management, inpatient meals, menu planning, diet therapy, and the APD coffee shop.

Richardson comes to APD from Genesis HealthCare in Lebanon where he has served as the Director of Dining Services for nearly five years. Prior to Genesis, he served in a variety of management roles in restaurants and retail establishments including Jake’s Quechee Market, Lui Lui and The Exeter Inn.

Richardson is a graduate of Granite State College and a classically trained chef from Le Cordon Bleu. He also served in the United States Marine Corps.

“Shawn brings a strong blend of food service knowledge, process improvement, and management skills to our hospital,” said Peter Glenshaw, VP for External Affairs at APD. “We are very happy to have him at APD,” he added.

“I’m thrilled to put my experience to work for this dedicated community hospital,” Richardson said. “Nutritious meals are vital for patients and staff alike. I look forward to leading our team to provide homemade meals and exceptional service,” he added.
