APD welcomes Director of Development, Melissa Dalton

Melissa Dalton has joined APD as Director of Development. Reporting to the VP of External Affairs, Melissa will steward programs and gifts that support the Hospital’s mission to improve the health and wellbeing of the community while underscoring APD’s values of kindness, community, partnership, and service.

Throughout her career, Melissa has successfully forged deep relationships with patients and providers through her unique approach to grateful patient programs, and thrives in complex academic health care environments. She has also been successful fundraising for community hospitals in Texas.

“An accomplished development director, Melissa brings a mix of strategy, innovation, and relationship skills that will serve our mission well,” said Peter Glenshaw, Vice President of External Affairs at APD. “I’m thrilled to have her join our team and look forward to having our community meet her in person.”

Baylor Health System Foundation since 2010. Prior to Baylor, she spent time as a consultant for Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance and as Project Director at John B. Cummings Company.

Melissa received her B.S. in Psychology at West Texas A&M University.
