Total compensation philosophy

Alice Peck Day (APD) Memorial Hospital's compensation philosophy is designed to align employee compensation with the people-centered values we are committed to as an organization.

We provide a compensation program that adheres to the following principles:

  • Establishing and maintaining competitive salary levels within relevant markets and available resources
  • Remaining consistent with job content, responsibilities, and requirements
  • Emphasizing and encouraging excellence by rewarding individual contributions that support APD's priorities, goals, and objectives

APD offers excellent benefits to its employees:

  • A self-funded medical plan that includes health savings account (HSA) and health reimbursement account (HRA) options
  • A choice of either a basic or enhanced dental plan that offers cleanings and X-rays, restorative treatments, reconstructive treatments, and orthodontic coverage
  • Short-term disability
  • Long-term disability with supplemental options to increase coverage
  • Life Insurance for yourself and your dependents
  • 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match

Health Plan Price Transparency for Employees

The Federal Transparency in Coverage Final Rule requires that health insurers and self-funded health benefit plans must post machine-readable files (MRFs) on a public internet website. Dartmouth Health employees may link to Optum Behavioral Health to access machine-readable files that are made available in response to the Federal Transparency Coverage Rule and include negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and health care providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
