Vaccines and boosters
COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are available to all eligible patients at APD. Simply call (603) 448-3122, or speak with your care team while you are at APD.
- If you aren't near APD, please know there are more than 500 locations across the State of New Hampshire offering the vaccine and booster, and many locations offer walk-in service without the need for an appointment. Find COVID-19 vaccination sites near you.
- Please keep your vaccination card. It is the official record of your COVID-19 vaccination status.
Please keep in mind:
- Boosters are also widely available at pharmacies and other retailers.
- Patients must present their vaccination cards at their booster appointment, clearly showing dates their previous vaccine doses were administered.

Where can you get tested?
APD patients:
Due to decreased demand, the community testing tent and respiratory illness clinic for patients with COVID-19 symptoms has closed as of August 13, 2022. However, there are still many options for APD patients and the general public to secure testing for COVID-19.
New Hampshire residents:
- The New Hampshire COVID-19 Response website provides information about community-based locations across New Hampshire.
- Call the 211 state hotline.
Vermont residents:
- The Vermont Department of Health provides information on where to get tested and how to register.
- Call 211 or (866) 652-4636 toll-free in Vermont, or (802) 652-4636 from outside of Vermont.
Where can I get a PCR test done?

At-home antigen testing
COVID-19 at-home antigen tests are diagnostic tests that are approved by the FDA with Emergency Use Authorization. You can purchase these tests at pharmacies and other locations and test yourself for the COVID-19 antigen.
Antigen tests detect the presence of the COVID-19 virus, but they are less sensitive than PCR tests.
- If you have COVID-19 symptoms and a negative home antigen test result, you can schedule a confirmation PCR test.
- If you have a positive home antigen test result, you do not need to schedule a confirmatory PCR test.

If you test positive
If you test positive for COVID-19, you should stay home. Most people with COVID-19 have mild illness and can recover at home without medical care. Learn more about symptoms and when to seek medical care.

- Upload your vaccination card to myDH so that you will always have access to your vaccination status.
- You will have a unique QR code in your account that you can show at locations that require you to share your COVID-19 vaccination status.

Always call 911 if you have a medical emergency
If you have a medical emergency and need to call 911, notify the operator that you have or think you might have COVID-19. If possible, put on a facemask before medical help arrives.
