Our hospitalists are board-certified internal medicine physicians who specialize in giving all of our hospitalized patients the undivided attention they deserve.
Based in the Medical Surgical Unit, hospitalists consult in the operating room and with Emergency Services. Since they are at the hospital 24/7, hospitalists are more accessible to nurses and patients and can provide flexible meeting time with patients’ families.
Our hospitalists perform the following services:
- Care for patients with medical problems such as pneumonia, heart disease, and diabetes
- Partner with surgeons to provide optimal care for patients undergoing surgery
- Collaborate with patients’ primary care providers
- Work with patients and families to make informed decisions about treatment options
