Acupuncture is a form of treatment that involves inserting very thin needles through the patient’s skin at specific points on their body. In the Chinese medicine view, health is the result of a harmonious balance of the complementary extremes of “yin” and “yang” of the life force known as “qi.” Many believe that qi flows through meridians, or pathways, in the human body. These meridians are accessible through more than 360 acupuncture points. Inserting needles into these points with appropriate combinations at specific depths seeks to bring energy flow back into proper balance.

Acupuncture at APD addresses a broad variety of chronic conditions including pain, headaches, and digestive problems. It can provide stress relief and improve sleep and overall mood.
