Massage Therapy

Massage has been practiced in most cultures throughout human history, and was one of the earliest tools that people used to relieve pain. Massage therapy is a type of treatment in which your therapist manipulates the soft tissues of the body — muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and skin —using varying degrees of pressure and movement.

Massage therapy can help manage chronic pain, reduce stress, improve sleep, and enhance wellness. It is an ideal complement for patients receiving intense treatments for Hepatitis C and cancer or recovering from surgery or an injury. Massage can improve the flow of blood and lymph to reduce muscular tension, affect the nervous system through stimulation or sedation, and enhance tissue healing.
